   Child and Adolescent Counseling

Sometimes children and adolescents need a safe haven and empathetic ear to help ease the difficulties life can bring.  We strive to help our clients focus on working toward an optimistic future, while learning positive coping methods and building self-confidence.  Haven of Support Counseling specializes in a variety of areas including but not limited to:

Anxiety, Anger, Divorce, Death of loved one, Depression, Bullying, Self- esteem difficulties, Sexual, Emotional, and Physical abuse, and witnessing or experiencing trauma.

 Individual Adult Counseling

We provide individual counseling for adults in need of guidance and support to resolve an issue, recover from an upsetting experience, explore thoughts and feelings, examine beliefs and work towards making healthy changes. Topics include, but are not limited to:

Anxiety, Attention/Hyperactivity, Crisis intervention, Depression, Eating concerns, Emotional abuse, Family life issues, Grief & Loss, Separation/Divorce, and Trauma.

A graduate of Lindenwood University in 2011, I hold a Masters of Arts degree in Professional Counseling within the state of Missouri. I also earned a Bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University in Child Development, with a minor in Psychology.  As a clinical therapist of 8 years, I have experience across a variety of treatment settings which include; private practice, St. Louis City and County Public Schools, Federally Qualified Health Care Centers, and Community Based Services.  I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults and I am passionate about working with individuals  from all diverse backgrounds. As a Licensed Counselor, it is my passion to provide each client with hope for the future through positivity and a strengths-based view.  I strive to empower clients to increase their self-worth, providing opportunities to develop awareness of the problems they are facing, and gain new insights of possible solutions. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Supportive Therapy, Psychoeducation, and Solution Focused Therapy in addition to others depending on the needs of the individual.
